that’s because I’m tweaking CommentLuv and a couple of other plug-ins which aren’t working as efficiently as would be ideal. Let me know if you see anything odd.
Update: OK, we have one commentor who’s having trouble getting out of the front-page. Let’s see if this direct link in a post will allow access to this single-post page and enable the leaving of a comment.
Update the Second (Tue 6:35pm AEST): at the moment it appears that most folks using Firefox can navigate around fine, but some folks using other browsers are having problems. This is being caused by activating a caching plug-in, which is meant to cut down on our bandwidth usage and serve up pages much faster. For the moment, I’ll still leave it activated, because our bandwidth situation is dire. I’ll try and find out what the problem is and see if I can perform the necessary tweaks to have it work with other browsers.
Update the Third: (Wed 8:23am AEST) I’ve disabled the caching plugin that was causing some people difficulties. I’ve discovered that it will take some extensive background tweaking to enable it to work properly, and I don’t have time for that right now.
While I’m logged in as an admin, the CommentLuv plug-in won’t work for me, so can someone else give it a whirl, particularly someone who hasn’t been able to make it work for a while?
Apparently there’s a bit of a problem if your own blog is slow to load, because CommentLuv will timeout after a while to allow your comment to be published despite not fetching the link from your own blog-feed.
I’ve also enabled a Cache plug-in that hopefully will work better than the last time I tried, and should mean that pages are served up much faster than they have been.
Haven’t used it for a while, let’s give it a whirl.

I was using the browser of the devil earlier today (IE) and no matter what I clicked on, I just got the front page. The URL changed each time, too. I’m at home now, using the browser of the angels, and it’s fine, though…
Hi! I’m on Safari version 3, and if I click on a “Continue reading…” link at the end of any post on the front page, it just stay on the front page (though the URL changes).
Kira inspired me to check, and yeah, Safari 3.1.2 is doing the same freakout as IE. Although I do get the header in Safari, which I don’t in FF (although javascript is enabled)? [shrug] Hope this helps!
Bother, I thought I’d found what made the Caching do that in some browsers and sorted that out. Obviously not, although it’s good that some folks using the browser of the angels are OK!

Alrighty, there were a couple of old files hanging around from a different caching plug-in that I should have deleted. They’re gone now, and I’ve double-checked all the configurations, so hopefully that will have sorted things.
I’m on an older version of I.E. at work and I’m pretty much okay. I’ll keep poking around and see if everything else works.

Anna, I since dialled the caching plugin back to a lower setting. I’ve discovered that my blog configuration as is does not allow the super-duper caching, and will require some extensive tweaking to make it work. I’m too busy to get onto that until the weekend, and maybe not even then. So it’s back to plan B, paying for another bandwidth upgrade!
Hi Tigtog, Sorry my comment is late and you’ve already figured it out. But for what it’s worth in case it’s still useful, yes, the direct link in the post is what worked.
I’m still using Safari and I can click into “Continue reading…” links now.
