Check out the official Darwin Day website for a list of events etc.
In case you haven’t been paying attention, this year is the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth, and also marks the 150th anniversary of the publication of On The Origin Of Species, in which the public first read his Great Idea about the major mechanism underlying evolution.
The ScienceBlogs will be all over it once it hits their time-zone. Here’s a couple to get you started from OzScienceBlogger John Wilkins at Evolving Thoughts: Myths About Darwin and Darwin worship, and demonisation.
There’s plenty of stuff on Our ABC about Darwin this month from Radio National. Programs can be downloaded for later listening.
