    Thankyou for posting this, tigtog.

Aung San Suu Kyi, you are one of the great heroes of this world, an inspiration in every country and community where freedom and conscience are valued. May this year be the one that sees your unjust imprisonment end, together with that of all those held by the illegitimate government of Burma. On this day, I salute you, and wish you a Happy Birthday.

Although the Status of Forces Agreement prevents me from getting more closely involved with anything while I am in RoK (and also because my Korean is far from functional), I have been trying to get some pictures of the touching demonstrations going on outside the Myanmar Embassy, which is on my street. I have failed to do so yet, but there is something going on every few days.

Thank you for posting this. I pray it ends soon, and that she will be free to go home.
