    I’m only recently on twitter and I notice categories marked with a hash, as in, #topicI’mtwitteringabout. How do these work? Do I create a # page simply by doing a word string with a hash as shown? Is it twitter etiquette just to try and see?

    @Helen, that is pretty much how it works. Say you tweeted something about women of color if you finished with this tag #WOC then anyone searching for tweets on that subject matter would be able to see your tweet.

    Really good beginning of a discussion on Shakesville today, The Terrible Bargain We Have Regretfully Struck. One woman came up with her fears about whether she would be able to fully love a boy if she had one, when she decided to become a mother, I pointed her toward you Lauredhal and–hi, Renee!–you Renee.

    Quixotess, I just blogged on Liss’s awesome post.

    Everyone, if you haven’t read Liss’ post yet, then please read my post first, then go over to Liss’ and read hers in full, and bookmark it. It’s a reference work, definitely.

    BTW – I’ve upgraded CommentLuv and it’s working again now. *But* it will only fetch *your* latest blog entry if you’ve actually included your blog details in your user profile. If you haven’t, just edit your profile to include it by clicking on the “logged in as [foo]” link above the comments box.

    So, after spending another delightful day wandering around montreal, I come back to 14 emails in my box about WARTD, which I suppose I brought on myself by telling people that I was unimpressed regarding it at 3 a.m.

    But I’m kinda tempted to ignore them all. Advice?

    The first I heard of WARTD at all was someone mentioning that it was imploding, so I don’t know enough to advise.

    I’m just miffed that upgrading Firefox seems to have broken several of my favourite extensions, while trying to tell me that they’re still there, enabled and useful. NO THEY ARE NOT. *grumps*

    @tigtog Yeah, it did that to hyperwords for me. Made me annoyed… but I am lazy, so haven’t sorted it yet…

    On a hunch, I disabled all the add-ons that weren’t working, refreshed Firefox, then enabled them again, then refreshed Firefox again. That got all of them working bar one, but it’s my favourite! Text Formatting Toolbar, how will I cope without you?

    Ah – I was able to get my Text Formatting buttons back by using the Customise Toolbar Function (which I read about on the TFToolbar website – yay for proper documentation). And all the buttons from everything else was there too, so my Adblock Plus is back where I want it as well.

    Phew.

    @Quixotess

    Hey back. I think many women have that concern until they hold their little one. I could not love my little devils more but I can certainly say that they drive me absolutely around the bend every opportunity that they get. Today they were running around the house singing penis power.
