I leave Malaysia for Canada tonight. And have yet to pack. Meepers!

Hope you’ve got the thermal underwear to hand, Jha. El Nino might be keeping the West Coast warmer than usual for this time of year, but it’s still plenty cold there!

Speaking of cold, I have one. A very sneezy one. Boo.

Boo for colds, but yay for cold weather!

Our new cat is settling in really well, he’s the snuggliest thing ever – spends all night in bed under the sheets as close to me as he can get, and most of the day on a lap.

Aren’t otters just weasels with the amphibian operations package option anyway? :D

k0: I keep telling people who think otters are ickle cuddly cute things that they’re actually vicious little weasels. (Note that this raises my esteem for them, and is not intended derogatorily in any way.)

I didn’t think you did mean it that way! Vicious little weasels have been a joy in my life since meeting my first ferret lo these many decades ago. Pointy is specially good; I very much liked that mongooseling you had recently. That was a very pointy child!

In the US, we got the very very fat version of the weasel, the groundhog.

(Okay, it’s not remotely related, but it’s sleek yet chubby.)

I love any animal that looks cute, but has claws, teeth, and the bad-ass attitude to go with it. :) We got wonderful photos of the baby groundhogs this year.
