Bugger. “Jon” (real name Al Weisel) was such a generous netizen, highlighting the work of other bloggers regularly and sending encouraging emails.
He also pioneered the parody faux-conservative schtick that Stephen Colbert epitomises today. He was already terribly missed when his blogging slowed down over recent years – to think that he’ll never write such wonderful witty words again is terribly sad.
Condolences to his family and to everyone else who knew and loved him. He was a delight to read and must have been even more of a delight to know.
