Browse: Home / Sunday Singalong: Remembering Etta James
By tigtog on January 22, 2012
Etta James (1938 – 2012) – over the last few days many have been playing/linking to her ballads (or at least one of her ballads) or her blues songs of lost love, which are classic Etta, but I especially loved her when she got playful. This is one of my favourite versions of You Can Leave Your Hat On.
Thank you for the music, Miss Peaches.

Thanks for this post. This is probably my favourite Etta James song: Sunday Kind Of Love. I love her voice.

And I can’t resist posting Tell Mama!
Oops. Fixed now.
Sorry, ” A Sunday Kind Of Love” (and there are other earlier versions by other artists, but I ‘discovered’ Etta’s version first).
I’d never heard You Can Leave Your Hat On from a woman’s perspective before. Suddenly it takes on a whole new meaning…she certainly did a great version.
