Not promoting for me but Inculture Parent has a great post on breastfeeding and culture. Breastfeeding in the land of Ghenghis Khan

Actually most of their posts are awesome.

I also really loved this one Explaining history and racism to Grandpa

Hooray! Long live the Femmostroppo Reader! (Pretty sure I follow you on Twitter, but you’re about while I’m asleep, so I’ve missed your linky treats).

Here’s my shameless self-promotion, piece I did on the F-Word

It’s called “No Access to the Women’s Room” and it’s about the degendering and desexualising effects of disability.

Lovely. I’ve missed your Femmostroppo Readers. It’s great that you’ve been able to find a workaround for google’s goof-up.

Thanks for the forum and will check out those links. Here are some of mine:

Pondering the premises behind the appeal in the Shafia trial, which has been labeled as an honour killing: It seems the goal of eradicating patriarchy tends to “colour the evidence.” Oh my.

Everywhere are red hearts and flowers, some plastic, some silk, some real… February is the month with that holiday in the middle of it (which, btw, coincides with the mating habits of skunks. I do not kid). With this in mind, let us examine The “feminist” man. Yay. Or not.

I didn’t mean for this to be my first comment (been reading for a bit), but here goes:

I wrote Adjustment in response to the US New York Times article “How Yoga Can Wreck Your Body,” but it also pertains more broadly to people touching me without my permission, even in the context of trying to help.

As well as an asana post for lifting and strengthening the pelvic floor (yes, the “pee muscles” and also the “kegel muscles” — but also more than that). With a few modifications offered.

And one last US-centric post, The Anti-Choice Desert, on being pro-choice in a red and geographically remote state.
