    Where we are (NYC area), it was hot and humid — almost 35 C. In the evening, our village’s fireworks over the Hudson were having to compete with the heat lightning over the town up the river. We spent the evening inside, with the A/C blasting.

    Yes, but how far? Right now it’s our future in Sydney, but our present in Perth (h/t to worldtimezone.com)
