I missed posting this yesterday, but I want to raise my bloggy hand to join the call for protecting the right of girls around the world to education. I want to honour Malala Yousufzai and her two schoolmates who were also shot while trying to shield her from assassins.
Sometimes they work out exactly as the malicious arseholes want them to, grinding people down until they feel the need to stop speaking out. But the technology that gives the bullies a megaphone to amplify their intimidation is a two-edged sword.
The gendered cyber harassment campaigns are rank intimidation aimed at silencing us. We have to keep on talking about it so that they do not succeed.
Months later, the woman who spoke these four words is still dealing with cyber-harassment including rape and death threats
