Little Nell as Columbia’s tap segment from the version in the Rocky Horror Picture Show
Quite a few people I know are fans of Dorothy Dunnett’s Lymond Chronicles, centred upon a scapegrace Scots nobleman navigating the intrigues of the Tudor/Stewart/Suleiman era whose talents and flaws (and associated collateral damage body count) exceed those of Sherlock Holmes, Batman and Iron Man put together.
NONE of you informed me that Christopher Eccleston was going to be the villain (Malekith the Accursed) in Thor 2.
Here be SPOILERS!!!
I’m interested in addressing it as an instance of popular culture that again has kids tearing through books, hungry for more, at the controversy and ‘moral panic’ that it seems to be creating, and in looking at the elements of what, for me, made it something out of the league of the ‘Twilights’ of the world.
Love it? Hate it? Meh? It’s a bit hard to totally ignore this week, just sayin’. (obviously, Spoilers Alert)
