Going to get something as simple as a check-up, a consultation or a pap smear can be a hugely stressful event for a fat person. However, there are good health care professionals out there. There are doctors that will treat a fat person without demonising their fat body. But it’s hard to know where to look.

That is the whole point: to make goods that are generated with more carbon pollution relatively more expensive than goods that are generated with less carbon pollution.
Things are moving so fast around Northern Africa and the Middle East right now. History in the making.

In case you hadn’t heard, as well as the current uprisings around the Middle East against corrupt governments, right now there are thousands of people out demonstrating (in February, in Wisconsin!) against the Governor’s attack on unions – this is what they keep on playing:
“She now set her heart on being called to the bar (not, it seems, for her own sake but to offer free legal advice to the poor).”
This messy patchwork of care arrangements – its favours and returned favours; its sick children one week and different working hour requirements the next – are how the modern working parent operates these days.
Hundreds have already been killed and the violence is escalating. Let your people get on with it without you and your mates. You are not needed.
