This shot made a bunch of front pages in the UK a few weeks ago – no special effects, just a perfect windless sunny day and some minor tweaking for sharpness and clarity in Photoshop. The series of shots over a few days leading up to this one start from here in his Flickr photostream (although the progression from a few weeks earlier since his first serendipitous capture of the beginning of a “pop” starts here).

Check out the rest of Richard’s Bubbles set – they mostly focus on getting the best reflections, and he’s got some great shots. He’s got some good bird captures and insect macros too.
