I’m sure there are better photographs of the Great Smiley Conjunction out there.
But this is mine, taken mere moments ago; and that’s what makes it special.

That’s awesome. 🙂
It’s been too cloudy here to take any photos, unfortunately.
Well done! I was bemoaning the cloud earlier when I took the dog for a walk with friends, we were all disappointed to miss the smiley face.
Thanks for the reminder – I just went our and added to the great smiley blogging for this evening with my own collection of photos.
Got to love the digital SLR!
Grendel’s last blog post..Sting
That’s a very satisfactory photo.
I loved seeing the happy face. I spotted the eyes a couple of evenings ago, and after I tucked les fillettes into bed, I raced outside to take a look.
A year or so ago, the then Miss Eight and I had a lovely time watching a lunar eclipse. I’m not so impressed by planetary conjunctions, being as they are mere freaks of our position relative to to the planets, but it was still fun to see a smile in the sky.

That’s fantastic. And a friend just got out of the hospital today, so the timing’s fantastic too (enough to deserve saying Ecclestone-voice).
I love it!
I’m actually rather relieved that it was cloudy here in Sydders, otherwise I’d be really upset that I forgot and missed it.
It was clear in Adders so I neither forgot nor missed it, but I wish I’d thought to look for it earlier, before it got completely dark, so I could have tried to get a dark-blue photo like this. Gorgeous.
The kids enjoyed it, although it was cloudy.
Lovely photo. It has been a fine few years for star gazing with Mars so close, then Comet McNaught and a total lunar eclipse etc.
I was so excited! I was on the mobile yelling at friends and family to go outside.
Oh, it’s gorgeous.
Visiting family in a more populous place than the mountain where I’ve been living for the last year or so – and between the ambient light and the cloud-cover/rain of the last few days, no good views. : (
Theriomorph’s last blog post..Interpretive dance: the answer to everything.
That’s a lovely photo, thanks.
