Whoydensday: Matt Smith at Glastonbury Festival

A montage of the eleven incarnations of Doctor Who
PLEASE BE SPOILER AWARE – anything Whoniverse related is on topic for this thread, but the most recent episode on terrestrial broadcast in Australia was S5 Ep11 “The Lodger” (or S31E11 for the Old Guard)

OK, many of you have probably already seen this, but this is for the rest of you (and why would anybody NOT want to watch this again?).

Matt Smith thrilled fans at the Glastonbury Festival just by turning up on stage to introduce the last song of the evening from cult electronic dance duo Orbital, and then caused a nerdgasm heard around the world when he staffed the synthesiser sampling loop while they performed the classic Doctor Who Theme.

Everybody just looks like they are having such a good time.

  1. I love this so much! 😀

Matt Smith is SUCH A GEEK, and the crowd is just so totally into it.

  2. Too cool.
I so love the theme music, its my wake up alarm.

  3. Okay. I’ve been liking Matt Smith as the doctor a lot, but this has suddenly suggested to me that he could play Captain Jack too. I can’t wait to see what he will go on to do – so young, so much promise.

  4. When I saw the lights on the sides of their heads I thought for a moment they had come dressed as the Ood.

  5. I NEED THIS TRACK FOR MY PARTY THIS WEEKEND. WHICH WILL HAVE A TARDIS. IT CAN BE PLAYED ALONG WITH KLF’s DOCTOR WHO THEME RENDERING!!!
OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS SO HARD, I’M STUCK IN CAPITALS. AND MATT MAY BE THE HIPPEST DAMNED DOCTOR YET.
    Sorry about the capitals.
    JUST SO EXCITED!!!
