    In good news, I ran away to the seaside for a day off yesterday. When I got back to the Internet I discovered my uni feminist group had not only started a campaign against a sexist club night, but succeeded in getting them to change the theme. I feel really proud of my friends.

    I hope that the inconsequential doesn’t drag you down too far, as overwhelming as it can feel.
    I was going to go into a long diatribe about my current issues with mental illness and personal circumstances for “perspective,” but that would be counter-productive self-serving.
    So, instead, I’ll simply think good thoughts at you and wish you all the very best; know, too, that the heart makes little distinction between the great and the small at times.
