Femmostroppo Reader November 4, 2011

Experimenting with the much clunkier manual markup of my ‘Starred’ Google Reader items, seeing as I can no longer just Share them as I used to: sadly no notes, because there’s no longer an easy way to make a note while sharing. So, with no further ado:

Items of interest come across recently in my feed-reader. What did I miss? Leave your own interesting links in comments. Shameless self-promotion entirely welcome!

  1. Boo new google reader. I don’t know what character it’s using, but all the non-link spaces show up on my browser (iPhone Safari, running in Japanese) as “??”.
I used to love google; now I can’t wait for the company that’s going to replace it to come along.

    • hey, it’s tekanji! Long time no see!
I have high hopes for Hivemined for just the Reader functionality I want. I’d be quite happy to spread the rest of my google functions around other web-services rather than be in thrall to another company who wants to “integrate” FSM-damn everything.

  2. Just realised that I apparently sent this from the future, so the post title has been amended (slug remains the same so that links will not be broken, and can now see the nasty question marks noted by tekanji – will fix)

  3. Thank you for the link, kind being. I’m getting lots of engaging responses. 🙂

  4. Hi tigtog! I tend to only lurk these days but Hoyden is on my regular reading list 🙂
The ? problem is fixed, thanks a bunch! I might also check out Hivemind when it’s released; I never was able to find a reader that I liked…

  5. Thank you so much for the links, Tigtog. They are always appreciated. 🙂

  6. It’s the queen! Not the corgi one, the QCofFM! SQUEEEEEEEE!
