This Sunday in Centennial Park is the Eastside Ride, 9am – 3pm. Free music, yoga, Try2Wheels and general outdoorsy happy vibe. Tina Harrod will be playing at 2pm. This is a family event, with a bit of something for everyone.

From the Eastside Radio website:

“On Sunday the 25th of May 2014, community radio station Eastside Radio 89.7 FM will host their second annual East Side Ride.

The East Side Ride is a free community event that encourages activity in the areas of cycling, green living and live music. Located in Centennial Park, the event will play host to stalls and workshops from a wide variety of participants.

Come along for a free yoga class at 9am courtesy of the House of Yoga accompanied by the electrified harp sounds of Jake Meadows.

Everything from gardening and composts stalls to seed banks and kids edible gardens. Plus organic food and drinks will be on offer.

At the cycling hub visitors can Try2Wheels, watch and learn about customising old bikes and see bike generated smoothie machines plus a bike fashion display and a SPECIAL KIDS’ BOOK READING.

Providing the soundtrack for the day will be roots reggae icon Declan Kelly & The Rising Son and funk soul legend Tina Harrod Electric as well as local Eastside DJs.

By bringing together people from all rides of life the East Side Ride will provide a point of connectivity in an ever-expanding city.”
