I got my version of Sibelius (music editing software) working again in the last couple of days, so I’m composing a motet for six voices as a sort of alternative to NaNoWriMo – most of my compositions are half finished because I’m lazy and when the inspiration goes cold I find I no longer have the impetus to make them work. So with this I have a deadline of 30 November to finish the piece in a complete workable draft.
That’s a fantastic idea! I know nothing about writing music, but this sounds like a good way to make yourself sit down and do it.
Whahey!
Good luck, Xanthë. I am completely cognitively incapable of composing music. I have no idea how to make one’s brain do it, so I have great admiration for those who can.
It’s Transgender Day of Remembrance here in the USA (I believe it’s already Saturday where you are.)
Just looking over the lists and reading some of the stories of the trans people killed in the past year. It reminds me of how privileged I am.

Unfortunately in the headlines today is the story of Vicky Thompson who was found dead in the cell of the all male prison she was sent to despite having lived most of her life as a woman. Another one to add to the Rememberance list.
RIP Red Cadeaux.
That was sad. It was one small consolation re his injury that early reports were that he would be retired to stud.
It appears that Destroy the Joint is silencing the voices of disabled women and refusing to include disabled women in their Counting Dead Women campaign. http://thestringer.com.au/feminist-forum-destroy-the-joint-blocks-and-bans-all-women-with-disability-11163#.VlFUyGYsXMK
