It starts by casting some other person as sub-human, is all I can think. To them Amanda was not only a thing but an offensive thing. I imagine the men who cheered are sleeping soundly, wondering why anybody else cares that an offensive thing has been removed from the world.It’s sadly all to easy for humans to do this to each other.
