I’ve been thinking about moving up from my couple-of-years-old D50 to a D40X, considering they’re supposed to be much better with respect to light-metering, exposure and all that. The D50 is notorious for washed-out images if you use anything but completely manual settings. And since they’re now cheaper than the D50 was when I bought it, it might be a good time.
