Wednesday Wow: Hot Pink !

.flickr-photo { border: solid 2px #000000; }

.flickr-frame { text-align: left; padding: 3px; }
.flickr-caption { font-size: 0.8em; margin-top: 0px; }

I reckon the owner of this house/car combo is never seen with a belt that doesn’t match the shoes.

  1. I love it, but I couldn’t live it.

  2. Tigtog, I want to draw your attention to some abuse and harrassment that is occurring at Flickr at the moment. One of my contacts, a woman that I know throught a Female-only Self Potrait Support Group, has received death and rape threats; Flickr has done little besides suggesting that she block them. Here is her account of what has happened (Warning: this includes a copy of the original threat, and could trigger).
    The men are part of a Flickr group called “Female Hanging”– devoted solely to images of women and girls being abused and killed. None of these images have been tagged as “moderate” or “heavy”, and as such, they anyone can see them, without recieving a warning that they might view offensive comments. As of now, members of the Female Self Portait Artists’ Support Group are busy flagging these images– but this does not change the fact that there is a Flickr group WITH OVER 800 MEMBERS devoted solely to images of abusing women.
    Right now I’m trying to raise as much awareness of this issue as possible.

  3. Just an update: The “Female Hanging” group appears to have either been deleted from Flickr, or made private.

  4. Beppie, what an appalling concept, although I’m sadly not at all surprised that a group like that would have hundreds of members. At least it’s not public anymore, but I think these people actually need bright lights shone on them, too.
    PS. in general I’d prefer alerts like that via email rather than in as off-topic comments on other threads. I’m very happy to put up separate posts on stuff that hits the obstreperal lobe sufficiently hard.

    Duly noted. 🙂

  6. I’m not very good at matching shoes and handbags (can’t be bothered repacking every day), but I’d love one of each of these!

  7. As to the hot pink house: I will always thank my mother for insisting I not mix red with pink. Wow! That clashes (re-setting retinas…)
    But to each her own. 😉

  8. This is my photo which is copyrighted. You do not have permission to use my photo. Please delete this photo from your webpage or contact me about purchasing the photo. Thank you.

  9. @ Anne Strickland:
    Anne, back in 2007 when I blogged that I was very careful to only blog photos on Flickr that had the “Blog This” button enabled, which is implicit permission to post the image to blogs (as the Flickr guidelines themselves say). You seem to have changed that status on your account now, which is fine. All too happy to delete the image.
