  1. Anonymous trolls drive me nucking futs. I was rolling my eyes about something elsewhere and noticed it was Otterday, so I thought I’d briefly bring my crabbiness here.
Jill–Unnecesarean’s last blog post.."Doctors work from facts."

  2. I met the most beautiful, smart, intelligent and sexy woman last night who’s taking me on a date when I go back from Amsterdam (I leave today!), and I finally came out to my mum who took the whole thing better than I thought and merely said ‘I just want to see you happy.’
Oh and I’ve just started reading “intercourse” by Dworkin for the first time 😀
Life for me, is going well for a change 🙂 fucking stoked!

  3. Want to see a great vampire flick.
Check out ‘Let The Right One In’.
    Its Swedish and quite beautiful.

  4. That otter is so CUTE!
I’ve caught blog wars again. 😦

    Ah-CHOO!
Also got a big social night tonight, first one since my mental health took a nose dive a while back. I’m nervous.

  5. Things are feeling better for me than they have in a long while – after months of frustration and waiting I’m finally getting the kind of treatment I want for my mental health issues. So yay.
And awww at the otter pup.

  6. Glad to hear it, Kirstente. Getting the wrong treatment for mental health issues sucks. It’s good to have some clarity.

  7. Hexy, how did your social night go?
BerryBlade, your mum rocks and I’m so glad for you that she does. Good luck with the gorgeous date!
Coz, will have to check out the movie. What would vampires do to anonymous trolls, I wonder?

  8. Via a post at Making Light, an article about the Donner Party, an event in American history of which I was ignorant. It’s written from an iteresting perspective on gender and survival. An aside about the Titanic and other disasters is an interesting counterpoint to MRAs who cite the Titanic story to claim the men heroically put the “women and children first” (and, by implication, now these feminists are “demanding equality” they’d better not “expect” the same level of male heroism.)

  9. Social night actually went well 🙂 No dramas, caught up with some people I haven’t seen in a while, got home without any hiccups. Only regret is that I didn’t dance.
hexy’s last blog post.."I do not believe that standing up for the rights of a sister to speak without being attacked, is an attack"

  10. Ooh Helen, was inspired to research the Donner Party by a Rasputina song (and that weird joke in Patch Adams) a few years back.
I have seen the marriage = longevity statistic quoted in articles before, but only applied to men, not women. Not sure what sources they’re using.

  11. I suppose the hoydenizen collectivity is aware of Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Females of teh year poll. But just in case it’s passed you by, you can vote here. There’s a space to insert people other than the ones Cosmo has nominated. I cast a vote for tigtog in teh bloggers section. I hope you don’t mind.

  12. @ shawjonathan.wordpress.com/:
I wasn’t aware of Cosmo’s poll, but thanks for thinking of me.
