  1. Whiskers! Paws! that’s a delightful shot.
It’s sunny. I think I’ll go for a walk before it gets too hot.

  2. I think I might go for a swim this afternoon.

Must learn not to feel paranoid about my hairy legs when at the pool.

  3. I have a blogging gig for tor.com next month!! It’s Steampunk Month, and my Racialicious essay is still kicking around, so the editor there decided to ask me to be a guest-blogger. I’m so psyched. I hope I can focus on writing my statement of interest for grad school apps this weekend instead of freaking out over this.

    • Congratulations, Jha. Steampunk Month sounds fantastic. Give us a heads-up when you start?
ETA: and Eeek! on the grad school apps. There, I did it for you, so now you don’t have to freak out.

  4. Jist rrrrrealisin’ that the otterrrrr tharrrrr should be dressin’ like’ this today:
    From fun
Plus, how have I gone this long without knowin’ abarrrrt catsthatlooklikepirates.org?

  5. Aaarrrr it be Otterday!! ❤ That peg leg is too cute!
And I’ll be sute to let you know when I start!

  6. It’s also Suffrage Day in New Zealand. Women were granted the vote on this day in 1893, and just 10 weeks later, they were exercising their right to vote in a general election.
Alas, my photoshop skills aren’t up to putting a ballot paper in the otter’s paws.

  7. I saw Jennifer’s Body today. There were no otters, but there was a very sinister groundhog.

  8. Here you go, Deborah!

  9. I went to the beach today: Bronte. We saw a tall ship sailing south, perhaps honouring Talk Like a Pirate Day?
Wouldn’t recommend the water yet, it’s only 17C. If only I had a pregnant giantess shaped wetsuit.

  10. We spent the day up at Nelson Bay at the Clans on the Coast celtic festival. I did some more tablet weaving, Adam got the pole-lathe going again and we all got sunburned. The highlight of the day was my 12 year old never-try-anything-new son deciding to have a go at pole-lathe woodturning AND asking me to teach him how to tablet weave. He’s been steadfastly refusing to be interested in any of our crafting activities for over a year now so this was quite a surprise 🙂

  11. That a fabulous voting otter, Tigtog. Thank you!
(Would have said thanks earlier, but we finally started watching the second half of the last series of Battlestar Galactica. Will be out of contact for a day or two…)

  12. Verk verk verk… in a month it’ll all be over and my heart can start beating again.

  13. Bother. Something in the tweaking appears to be conflicting with the editing your own comments option. I’ll try and figure out what’s happened ASAP.

  14. No apology necessary, I just wasn’t sufficiently caffeinated to go looking for the original thread 😉

  15. Deborah, strongly suggest just not watching the final episode. I still regret that I didn’t stop with the penultimate episode.
