Thanks for the link, Tigtog. I’ve been meaning to write and post that one for ages, but something one of my students said finally pushed me into action. Also, I found some time.
I found the idea of a cluster of attributes surrounding and only needing some tipping-point sum of some of those attributes to form “identity” as defined by ourselves and by others to be quite fascinating, Deborah. I can see how it works with descendants of POC “passing” as White, too.
