Neatorama has a link to Dogs As Typefaces, which matches photos of dogs to particular fonts.

An arched dalmatian is Courier; an alert German Shepherd (older puppy?) is Helvetica; a daschund is Fraktur; a somewhat abashed-looking bull terrier is Bodoni.

Impact is obviously Rottweileresque, I reckon:

    I’m sure that Skye Terriers would be comic sans – something a bit rough around the edges but perky and with a smile on its face.
