    UN Dispatch is doing a series on adolescent girls in the developing world. Here’s an extract:

    But ultimately, eliminating child marriage is possible. We’ve seen it. Berhane Hewan, a program implemented by the Government of Ethiopia with support from UNFPA and the Population Council to prevent child marriage in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia has shown incredible changes in marriage age in relatively short periods of time.

    Bastian Fox Phelan has written an excellent article about lady facial hair and gender presentation here. I met Bastian at Queer Collaborations where they ran a really interesting workshop on trans-historical approaches to identity, deconstructing the ‘medical narrative’ of transness. They were really inspirational.
    Apparently drinking 1505 cups of hot chocolate will kill me, so I think I’ll stick to the usual 2 or 3 today.
