If you’re not on Twitter, you might have missed this story: the Florida legislative assembly is under the gavel of the GOP, and they have decided that “uterus” is “language that would be considered inappropriate for children and other guests”.

Because it’s “respectful” to treat women as if their reproductive organs are obscene, don’tcha know.

    I suppose directly referring to the uterus is too close to admitting that there’s a real live woman attached to it with a real live life of her own, and not just some incubator for a foetus.
