Well, we’re pretty much moved in – shelves up, beds assembled, aways found for things to be put in, and the place looks more like a house and less like a storage unit someone fell asleep in by mistake. Oh, and I’ve started gardening again – mostly pots of things at present, but I have Plans for putting up some climbers and ivy-leaf pelargoniums on the back fence to try and cut down on some of the traffic noise.
Still lots of fun and games with the internet connection, but this is mainly because our gateway server decided to have its power supply commit suicide a couple of days ago. Himself was Not Impressed and is feeling very hard done by because he spent about three days trying to get all the connections and configurations Just So, and then that happened.
The AEC has declared the election of the Western Australian senators, with a new #5 and #6, including Scott Ludlam.
Twitter commentary on the new WA Senate results: Antony Green notes there’s only 12 votes in it, and that couldn’t be referred to the Court of Disputed Returns without this declaration. Ludlum expects and is sympathetic to an appeal.
Vacillating between pre-performance excitement and anxiety for my big gig at the Annandale Hotel this coming Thursday night. Mostly on the excitement side, but blurking on the anxiety side fairly often.
