I would absolutely both think of flipping the clock to 24 hour time and do it, too. The only trouble is, I am also exactly the sort of geeky procrastinator who would factor the time while I whiled away the hours, and have some smartarse spoil my fun. So I’m a bit torn here.

Heh. I read the cartoon before reading your reaction to it, and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out which character you identified with. Guess I wasn’t too far off track.
I’m definitely the clock-flipper. But then, I’d also choose 100 cryptic crosswords over Sudoku, any day.
Sudoku doesn’t do it for me, either. I’ve never actually been game to get into cryptic crosswords – I have enough procrastinatory tools as it is.
