A live stream of the Democratic Convention in Chicago in 1968 would have been more revealing. It was tear gas rather than pepper spray and full on baton charges. Instead we have to rely on Norman Mailer’s Miami and the Siege of Chicago for a first hand account. Lots of connections with Obama: Chicago, the Kennedys, a disastrous war, Martin Luther King. Everything changes/stays the same…
