DNC protests – live stream

Denver Post: “Police use spray to force back protesters in Civic Center”. The protestors are thought to be part of Recreate 68.

For those following the protests outside the Democratic National Convention, here’s a live stream. [Via bfp’s twitter.]

Feel free to use this as an open thread to discuss how live streaming is changing or may change news reporting and current events conversations in the media.

  1. A live stream of the Democratic Convention in Chicago in 1968 would have been more revealing. It was tear gas rather than pepper spray and full on baton charges. Instead we have to rely on Norman Mailer’s Miami and the Siege of Chicago for a first hand account. Lots of connections with Obama: Chicago, the Kennedys, a disastrous war, Martin Luther King. Everything changes/stays the same…
Just watched Michelle Obama. Impressive media performance. Just another part of Planet Hollywood. Americans certainly know how to lay it on thick!

  2. Nothing to say about live streaming but Hillary is really nailing it right now. Woo.

  3. She was fab, wasn’t she?
