Whoydensday: Open Spoilers Thread

Exactly what it says on the tin: have at it in comments, with spoilers and rumours you may have heard regarding the upcoming Doctor Who specials, and Torchwood S3, which is due to air in mid-June.

And because I don’t want to neglect those of you who DON’T want to immerse yourself in spoilery goodness (or if you want some extra LOLZ), check out Touch-a-Touch-me (Rocky Horror), Torchwood style, by asaret-kitsune!

[Spoilers start under the fold.]

For a full run down of spoilers, I recommend checking out Planet Gallifrey and sister-site TorchwoodTV.

For now, here are a few of the more juicy ones that I can recall:

For Doctor Who:

  • Donna is back! It looks like Rusty was being very naughty indeed, making us think that he’d leave her with her memories wiped forever!
  • There are rumours (and a few blurry photographs) suggesting that John Simm has been seen on set, reprising his role as the Master.
  • Both John Barrowman and Elisabeth Sladen have been seen filming for the specials. SQUEE!

For Torchwood:

  • Creepy aliens known only as the 4-5-6 take over all the world’s children.
  • The Hub gets blown up!
  • And, apparently, Captain Jack ends up naked at some point.

  1. With that last one, I bet Captain Jack also dies as some point. I mean, if we’re making obvious statements. 😉
Has the Master come back to claim responsibility for getting Jack pregnant? Ianto’s gonna be pissed.

  2. I’ve been enjoying the trickle of photos of various faces filming around Cardiff. I can tell already from some interviews that Unca Rusty’s going to be a bit silly with it all, but hopefully it will be still made of mostly awesome.

  3. Anna — I can’t seem to find it right now, but I did once read a crack!fic in which Edward Cullen from Twilight got Jack pregnant. ‘Twas most amusing.
Tigtog — I would be disappointed if there wasn’t a little bit of silliness. 😉

  4. Beppie – I have one thing to say to you on the subject of an Edward/Jack fic: FIND IT!

  5. Here it is! The author wrote it off-the-cuff, so it’s not particularly polished, but it is very funny, and so long as you’re vaguely familiar with the whole Twilight thing, you should get it (I certainly had no trouble, and I’ve only read the first half of the first book).
And there’s a link to the sequels at the bottom of the page.

  6. Beppie, that was extremely silly and now I’m way late getting dinner started.

    *giggles again*

  7. Just a question… new Torchwood. Originally listed as “Spring” 2009, now “Summer” 2009 on website. Any idea why it has been pushed back? I thought they’d finished it.

  8. It was pushed back because it’s airing on five consecutive nights, and June was the first month in which BBC1 had those five nights free — before that, it would have interrupted the run of other programmes, which the beeb doesn’t like to do.
