Hatched over last weekend, yesterday was the first time I saw them out on the pond.
Synchronised cygnets ducking:
So many people making a special walk down to this corner of the park to see the cygnets. Not bad for a pond that was just a dustbowl only a few short years ago.

Sadly a letter to the Herald today (look for the letter by Reta Svans) says that one of the nesting pair was killed in a dog attack last week and that the cygnets may die too.
Oh no! The cygnets are a decent size now – maybe they can survive with just one parent.
I love that dogs can run free in Sydney Park, but perhaps they need to restrict that to the various areas away from the ponds.
