Two out of three newly HaTted authors have debuted their Hoyden bylines this week: familiar names from our comment threads and occasional guest posts over the years. Please welcome shonias, Megpie71 and Mimbles to the author roster, and look forward with us to them displaying more of their saucy, boisterous and carefree qualities alongside their perspicacity and passion.
Because I know that all three happen to be fans of Pterry’s Discworld novels, I hereby post this picture of the Lancre Witches to mark the occasion:

We like to add new authors every now and then to shake up the mix of topics covered a bit. If you are interested in being in the running to become an official Hoyden someday, please consider commenting regularly, and please submit occasional proposals for guest posts!

I was just saying to someone on twitter this morning that my favourite flying wall figurines are the Pratchett witches. They were made by Clarecraft and I really wish I’d bought them while they were still available.
Thank you for the lovely welcome, I’m very chuffed to have been invited to join the team. I have my first post brewing (or perhaps baking would be the better word) right now – musings on festive food and a recipe coming soon.
Ooh, it’s been too long since our last nom thread. Looking forward to it!
Welcome to you all! Look forward to seeing what you have to post. 🙂
Hooray!
Oooh some of my favorite people! So exciting! Congrats and I can’t wait to read your posts!
Looking forward to reading from these three, especially Megpie!
I love the Pratchett witches! I cannot locate the specific page but there’s a moment in Witches Abroad where Granny Weatherwax whacks Gollum one. It’s brilliant.
Huzzah!
QoT: I just looked that scene up – it’s page 59 of my Corgi paperback copy (published 1992). Just after the dwarves in the mine, and just before the waterfall.
