One year ago right now

I was on a plane to London. We left late at night on the 17th our time, and arrived in London first thing in the morning on the 18th their time.

Near our hotel we found a TARDIS (it looked a little on the squalid side, but the kids were most impressed),

and then we went for a walk and popped in for a very quick first squiz at the Natural History Museum

Skating at the NMH

and the Science Museum.

After all that, this was what faced me across the table at lunchtime on on our first day in London. Bless.

Oh well, at least that first pint of real ale went down a bloody treat.

  1. Oh, to have my own TARDIS! I have a serious crush on the Doctor – I’m sure that I’m not alone – except for the first Doctor, a bit too curmudgeony for my taste.
I actually came to your blog from a post about the bingo sheet you created. I hope you don’t mind, but I reposted it on my site. If you do mind, let me know and I’ll take it down.
A few days ago, I was feeling particularly closed in and so I looked around for a site for people like me, who are Feminists that have chosen to stay at home. Strangely, I didn’t find one, so I created one. I’d really appreciate it if you’d check it out. Here’s the address: http://www.feministhousewives.com
    Happy holidays!

I posted this one earlier this year, but I can’t find the post, so here it is again:

Aaaaannnnnd, I never posted this last year because I ended up going with a photoshopped Hugh Jackman cake instead, but a bonus never-seen-before pic for all you Doctor lovers:

  5. Oh man, I want that birthday cake! 🙂
