WA and QLD brace for more severe weather

It’s not TC Yasi severe, but a mini-tornado in the Pilbara and yet more storms in SEQ aren’t nothing, either.

It’s seasons like this that got our ancestors started with the thunder god worship. Folks in Queensland especially must be feeling pretty numb right now.

  1. I’ve just started a new job – working in Centrelink on a temp contract, staffing the call centre disaster relief payment lines. As I’ve said to co-workers, about now folks in Queensland have to be wondering which weather deity they pissed off, and who or what they need to sacrifice in order to get a break!
Meanwhile, cyclone season proceeds apace (and will continue to do so until about April).

  2. Throwing some good wishes to readers and others in those areas.
