My house is never so clean as when I have visitors coming. Sometimes it’s the only thing that makes me mop the kitchen floor (I find with littlies it’s going to be dirty again in 5 minutes so why bother too much).
You obviously have the wrong brand of housesitter. I’ve found an ex-group-housemate who still lives with her mother and gets so desperate for a break that she cleans my house for me when she arrives and basks in the cleany goodness until I get back and ruin it all.
I like the sound of your house-sitter, Duckie. I wonder what my old share-house buddies are up to these days?
