Hola! I’m disappointed but not surprised by the BBC casting another white male (who is ‘alternatively attractive’ ie, good looking enough for people to think he’s quite fit, in an unusual way, but not so good looking that it alienates the supposed core target audience) as the World’s Favourite Time Lord™.
On the other hand, I cannot actually get enough of the new Battlestar Galactica. I realize I’m about 4½ years behind the rest of the world-with-televisions, but it does also mean I have a lot to watch one after the other. As soon as the various torrents complete download.
And teh bezt LOL ever, in my book…

  3. Hi!
Ive been reading for a while, never got around to commenting though.
Last night I was disappointed, actually, make that enraged, by those stupid ‘buy the Biggest loser meal replacement food and you can be skinny’ ads. REALLY? If I replace TWO meals (and I checked, theyre going off a breakfast/lunch/dinner model) with your product for the rest of my natural life I can get and stay THIN? Where do I sign up????

  4. I don’t know if I really count as a lurker, because I do comment occasionally, but I feel more involved with this blog than my comments would suggest…so decloaking over here.

  5. This one cracks me up every time I look at it.
I’m Bri from the Fat Lot of Good blog
One thing that has impressed me lately is Ron Barassi (at 72) intervening (to his own detriment) to stop a woman being beaten on a public street.
One thing that has disappointed me lately is that anyone in their right mind would think about banning Vegemite. Talk about sacrilege!
[admin: I tried to do image magic, but couldn’t get to that image. Is it password protected/non-hotlinkable? Best is to link to the original webpage where it’s published, so I can just grab the embed code. ~L]

  6. Depresso, quite right on the Matt Smith issue. My feelings are similar. I should blog about them…

  7. Hi Depresso – have you dipped into the SPOILERZ thread where the casting is being discussed? And hear-hear on the BSG, I love it.
G’day Shades of Blue, Jay, Bri!

  8. hello possums – I’m so slack, I think I’d better count myself as a lurker and just pop my head out today. always having a look around though 🙂

I should go back to writing… I will swipe (and credit) the idea of those other blog posts about ‘swallowed a cork’, that was a corker! 😀
*back to lurk – or get back to writing*

  10. Oh – currently keeping up the habit of popping over to the Weblog Awards – but anyone promoting Group Blog for the http://2009.bloggies.com/ ?

  11. Hi, I’m definately a lurker… never commented, and have had lots of laughs and thinks about the posts I’ve read whilst here…

  12. Delurking! And right now I’m impressed with dogs, and how they just get on with life. My poor mate’s just had surgery and for the first time in his eight years, has to walk about with a bucket on his head. He is perfectly philosophical about this, and his sore belly, and the way he’s suddenly only allowed on the ground-level bed I’ve given him.
I wish I were as patient.
