    How did the soapmaking go in the new house? Does this mean you have a proper kitchen now?

    The soapmaking was great! Depends what you mean by ‘proper kitchen’, though. We have a mildewy white formica kitchen with a half-working stove and non-regulation-depth benchtops. But it’s functional, and the hot water now works, so it’s all good, for now.
    Soap is sitting in boxtops waiting to be planed and bevelled. Photos later.
